Butterfly (or Fifi as she's known around the farm) is a 3rd generation Tiger Horse. Once her last foals are registered, she will qualify for “Royalty” registration status within the Tigre Tiger Horse registry. She's a "Red Ghost" in Tiger Horse terminology (Chestnut (red) snow-cap to use the Appaloosa term), and has two copies of the LP gene. All of her foals will inherit the "Appaloosa patterning" characteristic. She has the foundation sire Storyteller twice in her breeding. Her tail-line granddam was an endurance arabian of Russian breeding. This probably accounts for her very flat muscling which is great for heat dissipation while working or trail-riding all day. She freely gaits in pasture, and she has a breath-taking floating trot as well. Her personality is very sweet and she's an excellent mom, too. Fifi will be started under saddle after weaning this year's colt. She's had her ground work and I've laid across her back a few times with no fuss. She has had 4 foals, all colorful and gaited.

Winter Fox (Foxy) is a "Bay Ghost" (or bay few-spot). She carries two copies of the LP gene as well, plus spotting genes, so all of her foals will be sure to inherit color. Foxy is a 2nd generation registered Tiger Horse, and is double registered with the Appaloosa Horse Club (and in one of the Appy Foundation registries.) She comes from a long line of "shufflers". Once her last foals are registered, she will qualify for “Royalty” registration status within the Tigre Tiger Horse registry. Foxy has been lightly started and will be getting more saddle time after this year's filly is weaned. She has had 4 foals, all colorful and gaited as well.

Bird is registered as a 2nd generation Tiger Horse. She is under saddle and is has a smooth shuffle. Bird is very sensible and loves people. She has been my “main mare” for trail riding and helping the neighbors gather cattle. She has had one colorful gaited colt and has been a good mother.
