2 Year Olds

(Current photo, November 2007 at 18 months.)
Buffalo Gal
Sire: Annandale's Lover Boy (TIGRE S/TG46/R10)
Dam: Annandale's Butterfly (TIGRE M/34)
Foaled May 27, 2006
Price: $2200

"Buffy" is the pattern and type I was hoping to breed. I had not offered her for sale previously because I wanted to use her for my next generation. Since I have made the decision to no longer breed, she is now offered for sale.

She is bay with a large spotted blanket. She appears to be roaning through her face, neck and legs. Like her dam, she has wonderful gaits, switching between a trot and a shuffle as needed. She is expected to mature at about 15.1 hands. Buffy is a very affectionate horse and walks on a lead. She can be groomed, bathed, fly-sprayed, stands well for the farrier, and works on verbal commands.

Like Buffy, "Rita" is also of the pattern and type I was hoping to breed. I had not offered her for sale previously because I wanted to use her for my next generation. Since I have made the decision to no longer breed, she is now offered for sale.

Rita is a bay with a spotted blanket and is expected to mature at about 15.1 hands. She shuffles and is a very calm, affectionate and sensible filly. She ties, leads, grooms, accepts flyspray, hosing, stands for the farrier and can wear a fly mask. She loads in a trailer and is now learning to do a little long-line work (only for short periods).
Look for her new photo soon!

Mares

Annandale's Winter Fox (TIGRE M/TG/30, ApHC 580944)
Sire: Red Hawk's Storm (TIGRE S/TG/41, ApHC, FAHR, ICAA)
Dam: CLM Toby's Pearl Anne (TIGRE M/68, ApHC, FAHR, ICAA)
Foaled May 29, 1999
Price: $5000

"Foxy" is a Bay Ghost, or in Appaloosa parlance, a Bay Fewspot. She is homozygous for the LP gene. She has had 4 foals (all by Lover Boy), one was born solid with characteristics and later became a Varnish Roan, her other 3 foals have all been born with unmistakable color and pattern. Foxy is from an Appaloosa breeding program that emphasized spots and shuffle. Besides being registred with Tigre (as are her sire, dam, and siblings) she is also registered with the ApHC and is eligible for registration in the International Colored Appaloosa Association (ICAA) and Foundation Appaloosa Horse Registry (FAHR) (foundation Appaloosa registries.)

See her foals on the Production page.

Foxy was started under saddle recently. She is doing well for a just-started horse and has never offered to buck, bolt or rear. She seems to enjoy our riding sessions and improves with each ride. Of course, she also leads, stands, ties, grooms, bathes, trailers, is good for the farrier, and is good letting me handle her foals. She is an excellent mother and is open this season. If you would like to purchase her in foal to Lover Boy, please inquire.

Annandale's Butterfly (TIGRE M/34)
Sire: Annandale's Ghost Story (TIGRE R5/S8GH)
Dam: Annandale's Fairy Story (TIGRE M/34)
Foaled May 3, 2000
Price: $5000

"Butterfly" is a Red Snow Cap Ghost, or Red Snow Cap. Her markings have matured to a dark liver chestnut. She is homozygous for the LP gene. Butterfly has had 4 foals (all by Lover Boy). One was born bay with characterstics and later became a varnish roan. The other three were born very colorful, with spots or spotted blankets. All of her foals gait, most have a nice floating trot in addition to their shuffle. All of her foals have been long-legged with a characteristic deep hip for power and gait. She is an excellent mother and is open this season. If you would like to purchase her in foal to Lover Boy, please inquire.

See her foals on the Production page.

Butterfly's grand-dam was an endurance arabian, this is obvious in her pretty face and long flat muscling. Butterfly is currently at the trainer's. He reports that she goes willingly and has not offered to buck or any other bad behaviors. I have watched her being ridden and she travels relaxed and happily. She is not herd-bound at all, and I think she will be a fun horse for trail rides or competition.

Stallion

Annandale's Lover Boy (TIGRE S/TG46/R10)
Sire: Annandale's Love Story (TIGRE G/TG9/R6)
Dam: Annandale's Jessie (TIGRE M/TG14/R7)
Foaled April 30, 2001
Price: $20,000

"Lover Boy" is a "Black" Bay with a narrow star-stripe-snip down the center of his face and a few white hairs throughout his coat. He also has a few very small white and gold spots. Of his 9 foals to date, all have very rich pigmentation and high contrast. He stamps each of his foals with his refinement and good temperament. Although he does not appear to carry the "LP" gene, he appears to carry genes for spots and blankets. Two of my mares do not carry spotting genes, yet bred to Lover Boy, they have produced spotted foals.

See his foals on the Production page.

Lover Boy has a comfortable running walk under saddle as well as at liberty. This is a very natural gait for him, as he is kept barefoot and is trimmed to his natural angles. My trainer is a Quarterhorse man but rides balanced, which allows Lover Boy his natural way of going.

He is easy to handle for training as well as breeding. Much of his life has been spent living in the herd with his mares and foals. He pasture breeds and has been bred in hand. This season, since we decided not to breed for next year, he has been in his own pasture or pen and has taken the change well as long as he can see his herd.

Lover Boy is a wonderful stallion with a lot to offer a Tiger Horse breeder and the Tiger Horse breed. However, if you prefer to have a gelding, that can be arranged. His price will be adjusted accordingly.
